“LA GÉE” A BRAND OF THE COSNET INDUSTRIES GROUP
La Gée is a brand of the Cosnet Industries Group, which employs nearly 300 people across a 14.5-hectare industrial site and operates state-of-the-art metalworking, galvanising and plastics processing plants.
The French family-owned group Cosnet Industries employs nearly 300 people across a 14.5-hectare industrial site. It comprises plastics processing plants (SAS Polymoule), metalworking plants (SAS Cosnet and SAS Pasdelou), and galvanizing plants (SAS Galva 72).
Located in one of Europe’s largest livestock-raising regions, western France, its products are used by farmers operating in an increasingly competitive environment.
With its own research and development department and state-of-the-art production facilities, it has been a market leader in the livestock sector for over 40 years.
In order to meet customer expectations, the Cosnet Industries Group is constantly striving to be more innovative and committed to the quality of its products. To this end, it tests its products at its own experimental farm.
LA GÉE is a brand of SAS Polymoule, which divides its business into three divisions: the ‘La Gée livestock equipment’ division, the ‘La Gée silage and livestock building protection’ division, and the ‘La Gée equestrian equipment’ division.
Founded in 1989, Polymoule SAS specialises in the manufacture of equipment made from polyethylene resin using rotational moulding and injection moulding processes, and in the manufacture of kennels and shelters.
It comprises a rotational moulding workshop equipped with two automated micronisation units and a fleet of rotational moulding machines, including a large-scale oven model that is unique in Europe, enabling the company to manufacture large parts whilst maintaining the resin’s mechanical properties. Its injection moulding workshop also enables it to produce the injection-moulded parts for its range of tools with handles, drinking troughs, grooming boxes, etc. Thanks to its woodworking workshop, it also specialises in the manufacture of stables and shelters and in the trade of woven products.
In order to meet customers’ requirements for materials and equipment, SAS Polymoule has joined forces with other companies in the group, thereby bringing together three areas of expertise: plastics processing, metalworking and surface treatment through hot-dip galvanising.
Many products are the result of combining all these areas of expertise; for example, wheelbarrows that feature a galvanised metal frame and a rotomoulded polyethylene resin body. This combination of expertise enables the optimisation and development of the La Gée ranges.
Since its inception, the company has continued to evolve and invest not only in various production tools but also heavily in research and development. SAS Polymoule therefore regularly files major patents in its core business to remain at the cutting edge of technology.
La Gée products are distributed worldwide through a network of distributors specialising in the sale of products designed for livestock farmers and farmers, as well as for riders, professional horse owners and private individuals.
Polymoule SAS is committed to an eco-friendly approach and to sustainable development. Indeed, thanks to a tightly controlled production line, the company recycles over 95% of its waste as part of its manufacturing process.
Further practical measures are being implemented at every stage, from production to dispatch. These include optimising electricity and gas consumption, and recycling wood, paper, ink cartridges, plastics and more...
