Dressage arena or riding ring

The construction of a quarry or a riding school requires large spaces for the development of one or other of these structures. The quarry or riding school by definition is a work space which is essentially present in equestrian centers or stud farms in order to offer an optimal setting for the work of horses. The equestrian arena and the horse riding arena are demarcated work surfaces with very distinct dimensions to respect.

First of all, thedressage careeressentially rectangular in shape, it is an outdoor work space used daily by riders to exercise horses and ponies. It is used to give lessons, train horses, show jumping and competitions... Delimited by barriers, lists, resin or wooden modules..., the horse arena is one of the first directions of investment for an equestrian structure because it is less expensive than the construction of a riding school. Today, the constitution and mechanical properties of the soil, drainage, watering, installation of floodlights and secure rails make it possible to practice outdoor horse riding all year round.

The riding school is a covered equestrian area which allows you to practice riding with your horse and to receive or give riding lessons whatever the weather. The construction of an equestrian arena respects certain rules for efficient use of the installation. The dimensions are usually smaller than the arenas, which is why even if the ground is not subject to bad weather, it must be regularly maintained due to its heavy use and its limited surface area. The walls of the structure are equipped with inclined planes to avoid injuries to the rider and the horse, also called boot guards. Some equestrian arenas are equipped with mirrors to help correct postures, rider gestures and horse movements.
